Quantic Thistle Exhibits at Eurosatory 2024

Quantic Thistle, a business of Quantic Electronics, showcased our latest innovations at Eurosatory 2024.

Eurosatory once again delivered an excellent conference, exhibition and associated networking events; facilitating great opportunities to collaborate across the sector, connecting with industry leaders, explore innovative technologies, and engage in insightful discussions on the future of defence and security.

We are thrilled to reflect on the incredible progress and connections we've made in Paris. The Quantic Electronics team has been hard at work showcasing our latest innovations in encoder design for defence applications, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

Quantic Thistle’s Chief Engineer, Kevin Duthie, demonstrated where our Distance Travelled Unit (DTU) is fitted to one of the road wheels of BAE Systems M777 Lightweight Towed Howitzer to provide data into Leonardo LINAPS inertial navigation system. With the war in Ukraine clearly evidencing the likelihood of GPS jamming, inertial navigation systems and their associated sensors will be vital for all platforms.

As we wrap up Eurosatory, the energy and innovation on display have been nothing short of remarkable. From groundbreaking technologies to insightful discussions, this year's event has truly set a new standard.

While Quantic Thistle proudly showcased our latest advancements in encoder technology for defence including the new Turret Displacement Unit supplied to Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) for Challenger 3, there were many examples of the wider Quantic Electronics family delivering mission critical capability such as the Quantic BEI sensors on the M1 Abrams and the Quantic™ Evans capacitors enabling Laser Range Finder on the new Challenger3 Main Battle Tank.

Our cutting-edge solutions attracted significant attention and sparked engaging conversations with industry leaders. The response to our innovations has been overwhelmingly positive, reaffirming our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in defence collaboration across NATO and our European allies.

Don't miss the chance to connect with us and learn more about our technologies at the upcoming DVD2024 event, where industry and Defence in the Land Equipment sector will meet at UTAC Millbrook for two days of coordinated engagement through informal discussions, briefings, demonstrations and displays.
